Going Beyond Training to Improve Performance, Enable Talent, and Build Culture

Hi there! Thank you for taking time to learn more about me. My name is James, and I uniquely combine my expert relationship building skills and adept organization strategies to assess business problems with stakeholders at all organizational levels and determine logical and effective learning solutions that improve job performance. I efficiently manage multiple project timelines and collaborate with subject matter experts to create and implement the solutions as well. I amplify my instructional design practice by evaluating the effectiveness and success of the learning solutions through focus groups, surveys, observations, and clear communication and collaboration with leaders, learners, and clients. I take tremendous pride in my ability to communicate professionally and make connections with my stakeholders to build trust and buy-in for our projects.

I use my degree and 8 years of experience in Education to amplify every project and team I work with. I fully recognize that my time as a public-school teacher did not, in and of itself, prepare me to become an instructional designer in the corporate Learning and Development space. However, I put in the work to upskill. I acquired professional certifications and gained the skills that are necessary to successfully transition to the corporate world two years ago, and it has made all the difference in the world for my success and the success of my colleagues and the organization I currently work for. Now that I have transitioned, it is clear that my teaching experience only bolsters my ability to take my L&D career to the next level.
